Do your neighbors know what you do?

I was honored when Joanne Gilbert, a contributor over at the blog, Oh My! Handmade Goodness, contacted me about using my art (above) to illustrate her most recent entry. Check out Handmade Here: Creating Your Local Life which speaks to artists who are often invisible in their local communities. The article also offers suggestions to becoming visible and reaping the rewards of being known as an artist in your own territory. It’s definitely worth a read. Thanks Joanne!

  1. Recently I created an Etsy treasury using artists in the Loveland/Cincinnati area as its focus. I was amazed at the depth and wealth of talent in my own backyard!

  2. My neighbors probably don’t really know what I am doing. Since I’m not an extrovert I work on some other ‘making me public’ things. But first we have to get healthy again. We made it through the flu the last week and I can tell you, pure horror with 3 kids being sick at the same time and having high fever!!!!!
